How the Interlock Works

Interlock fragile skin minimally invasive wound closure device

Interlock has one piece that is partially covered with loops and a second piece with hooks facing down from a protruding strap.

Each piece has a trailing area that stretches under low tension to prevent shear injury and blistering.

Interlock
How it works

The Interlock is used to close acute surgical wounds of moderate tension (up to 5lbs of force).

Prepare

Clean and thoroughly DRY the area into which the Interlock strips will be adhered.

Adhere

Place the loop and hook pieces so that the hooks and loops are facing the wound.

Close

Pull the strap to adjust closure tension and interlock the hooks onto the loops.

Finish Closure

Use one Interlock or ASRD for every inch of wound closure. Interlock can be used to support the wound for up to three weeks after surgery.
